When in Hawaii, there could be no better place to get fit than in the topical freshness of the outdoors. A few reasons would be that the weather is desirable, the air is clean, and many of the sights are breathtaking, which could assist in sustaining motivation. If  being under the direct sun is not really a passion of yours, that’s easily compensated by the numerous shaded areas that come along with tropical Hawaii.

It’s nearly impossible to find a park, or even a beach for that matter, that doesn’t cast the setting of a at least a few runners, joggers, walkers, people stretching, practicing martial arts, etc…,people of all age groups. It seems that more people are beginning to appreciate the beauty and benefits of exercising outdoors, as you can clearly witness more individual and group exercising taking place in the parks, exercise and recreation areas.

If fitness has been a struggle for you, and you have been exercising indoors (gym, home or  a similar setting), maybe it’s time to seek a program that’s based outside. I’ve seen exercise groups such as Tai chi for the elderly, all-men boxing, women kickboxing and boxing, mixed gender fitness and even children fitness. In fact, it’s very easy to find what may work for you, just take a drive or a stroll through the park.

I would highly recommend outdoor exercising if only as a supplement to your present routine. If you don’t have a routine, outdoor fitness is a great place to start, and more than likely, it’s where you will finish as well.
